We’re not crazy, weirdos, psychos, cuckoos, crackpots, mental, nuts, whackjobs or insane. Yes, we may act differently sometimes. We may do “crazy” things. But when you use words like that to describe us, you remove our humanity from us.
We’re people, just like everyone else. We just happen to be struggling deeply within our own selves. We’re no different than someone suffering from a torn ACL, someone with diabetes, someone with cancer. Our illness is invisible, but we are not.
